Soul Survivor Stafford

Thanks to everyone at Wolverhampton Foodbank for letting us have some photos of the generous donations of midlands Soul Survivor folk. Given that this is our smallest collection of the year you can see just what a lot can be gathered from a relatively small festival. All down to individual acts of kindness. Caroline and Gary at the foodbank tell us that half the food has gone already. Click on the link if you would like to know more about the Foodbank network

Rain...

Really feeling for everyone involved in Greenman if the weather in Swansea is anything to go by. Surely there can't be much rain left in the Welsh heavens. Good time to reflect on what it's like for those who don't even have a dry tent to call home.

And we're off...

The first collection of the year seems to have gone well. Two carloads of food to the Wolverhampton Foodbank from Soul Survivor at Stafford. Thanks to Gary, Phil and friends for doing the pick up and huge thanks to all those generous souls who gave away their goodies.

Welcome to 2010

OK so 2010 been around for a while but we're just coming out of the cosy straw lined cardboard box that is Festival Harvest hibernation. Soon we hope to be stuffing that box with unwanted goodies from generous festival goers. We'll be at Soul Survivor and Greenbelt, look out for more info on site.

Greenman 2009 Thank You

We loved Greenman ever so much. A fabulous event in an amazing setting and a generous response to our appeal for food. We reckon that at least 2000 items were donated and whether you gave us a single item of a bag crammed to bursting we thank you all. All the food went to GARAS www.garas.org.uk and will be given out in food parcels over the next few weeks.

We were impressed by the generosity of festival goers but also the kindness and concern of those running and stewarding the festival. In summary, you are all lovely. Pictured, Tim FH volunteer standing ready for the next delivery.

Thank You Stafford Survivors

A big thanks to festival goers at the first Soul Survivor of 2008. Not many of you but half a transit van load of food is now waiting to be used in food parcels for those in need in Wolverhampton. An excellent start to the year.
